| Allows you to scan a range or multiple ranges of IP addresses. A network scan consists of nslookups and portscans. After the scan, KUFU displays the results as a visual diagram (a network layout). It can also monitor this diagram and warn you when something is malfunctioning in the network. The program contains two basic functions: a network layout editor and a network layout scanner. The network layout editor lets you create a visual design of a network you want to monitor, either manually or by a scan of a range of class C IP addresses. The network layout editor places all your subnets, servers, and other components in a Windows Explorer-like tree. The network layout scanner monitors your existing network based upon what is defined in your network layout. If servers or services stop responding, actions can be taken automatically, such as sending an e-mail. |
